Yellow Medical Interview Form Questions and Answers
Q. WHY IS THERE RELEASE LANGUAGE ON THE BACK OF MY ADVANCE PAYMENT CHECK AND WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
A. The release language comes from the Settlement Agreement entered into by the lawyers for the Plaintiffs and the lawyers for the Defendants. It is required on all checks written to claimants in this settlement. Even though your check has release language on the back, you are still potentially eligible for additional claimant benefits in this settlement. In short, the release language does not limit your rights to further settlement payments in this case in any way. The release language does prevent you from making another PCB claim against these Defendants beyond the settlement of this case.
